Five things you may not see in 2012 on the strip

1) O’Sheas – The Ceasar’s Linq Project will result in the closing of O’sheas. The date is still tentative but by mid-summer the casino should be closed by all reports. Stay Tuned.

2) Lion Habitat at MGM – Property-wide renovations and no plans yet for the space. The last day will be January 31st.

3) Hooters – The hotel-casino will be sold at auction on February 17th and we will have to wait and see what will happen to the property.

4) Las Vegas Monorail – Trying to emerge from bankruptcy. The Sahara closing hurt, plus the new Linq project could affect more monorail stops so it will be hard for the monorail to survive and most likely will go away for good.

5) Imperial Palace – Caesar’s plans to rename The Imperial Palace and re-theme the casino as part of the new Linq project.

The Lion Habitat is awesome and the monorail is a big part of the strip experience.

They screwed the pooch on the monorail. Should have told the taxi authority to piss off and ran it from the airport to the strip (wuth luggage racks on them).
After it was paid for, then they could have extended to downtown.
